State Board of Technical Education (SBTE) has been constituted vide govt. order no. 75/Dir dated 31st May, 1955 under the Dept. of Science & Technology, Govt. of Bihar, Patna. The State Board of Technical Education (SBTE Bihar) is a part of Department of Science & Technology, Bihar. This unit was come into existence on 31 May 1955 to direct technical education in the state of Bihar.
