Union Public Service Commission will held a combined competitive examination for recruitment to to Grade IV of the Services mentioned below :

(i) Indian Economic Service – 31 posts
(ii) Indian Statistical Service – 29 posts

Important Dates:

• Date of Notification: 01-09-2012
• Starting Date for Online Registration: 01-09-2012
• Last date for Online Registration: 01-10-2012

Educational Qualification : A candidate for the Indian Economic Service must have obtained a Postgraduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/ Econometrics and a candidate for the Indian Statistical Service must have obtained a Post-Graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutes established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University

Age Limit: Candidates’ age must be between 21 years and 30 years. Cutoff date for determining age limit would be 01-08-2012. (Age relaxations will be extended as per Govt rules).
