Applications are invited from the citizens of India for filling up the following positions at CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR) New Delhi ( a constituent institute of CSIR) as per given below:-

Name of Positions:-

• Scientists in the Pay Scale of Rs. 15,600-39,100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 6,600/-
• Senior Scientist in the Pay Scale of Rs. 15,600-39,100/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 7,600/-

Total Vacancies: 17 posts

• Current Vacancies: 09 (Sc-01, ST-01, OBC-02, UR-05)
• Backlog Vacancies: 08 (Sc-01, ST-02, OBC-05)

# The Selection Committee, depending upon the performance of the candidate, may chose to place the candidate in any of the Grade Pay mentioned above subject to meeting the minimum eligibility criterion specified. The details of qualifications, experiences etc. are given below:

Scientist

Qualification & Experience:

• Ph. D (Engineering/Science) (thesis Submitted) in the area specified in the detailed advertisement Or
• M. E. / M. Tech. in the area as specified in the detailed advertisement;
  Or
• B. Tech. / M. Sc. in the area as specified in the detailed advertisement (first class 60% on an aggregate or an equivalent GPA) with Post Graduate Degree in Intellectual Property Law.

Maximum Age Limit (as on 10^th April, 2012): 32 years

Senior Scientist

Qualification & Experience:

• Ph. D (Engineering) in the area specified in the detailed advertisement. No experience required Or
• Ph. D (Science) in the area specified in the detailed advertisement. With 2 yrs. experience.
  Or
• M. E. / M. Tech. in the area as specified in the detailed advertisement with 3 yrs. experience.
  Or
• B. Tech. / M. Sc. in the area as specified in the detailed advertisement (first class 60% on an aggregate or an equivalent GPA) with Post Graduate Degree in Intellectual Property Law with 3 yrs. experience.

Age relaxation of 5 years SC/ST and 3 years to OBC is admissible as per Government of India rules.

*The recruitment of Scientists is in the fields of Botany/Life science; Biotechnology; Chemistry; Science/ Engineering; Physics; Geology; Science Communication (Hindi/Urdu); Library & Information Science & Foreign Language.
